Okay, so I mentioned yesterday that I just found out I'm pregnant, and my sister had a very traumatic miscarriage (they all are), and I'm a bit paranoid about that happening to us. I have some cramping that's almost like period cramps, and some that are just gas, and go away with time...also some lower back pain. Is this just normal 6 weeks pregnant stuff?

I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant .. I had those period like cramps up until about 14 weeks. I kept feeling like my period was coming. I'd run to the bathroom thinking there was going to be blood. I was so stressed. But it stopped a little over 14 weeks .. now I just get them off and on. It's perfectly normal :)
It's from your uterus expanding ... there's a lot going on in that tummy of yours ..there's a little person in there :)
I also had the lower back pain .. I couldn't tell if it was my kidney or my back .. so I drank a lot of water (and cranberry juice). They both went away and only come on now every once in a while.
Try not to stress out and take it easy.
Everytime this happend to me .. I would lay on my left side (on the couch or in bed) .. this did wonders! that way if it's gas it will help release the air and if it's from your uterus .. there's less pressure when you lay on your left side.

good luck to you! and enjoy your pregnancy!

God bless

Yep, I had gas and odd cramps before finding out I was pregnant. I also had an acne breakout and was very tired. I got a positive test result at 11 days past ovulation - you may be able to get a good result from an early detection one tomorrow morning if you are pregnant. It's best to wait until you miss your period though. Make sure you use first morning's urine when you do test. Good luck!

I'm 5 weeks and having the exact same problem! From what I've read there's nothing to worry about unless you have pink / redish spotting. My cramps are not as strong as normal period cramps and are sometimes stronger on one side than the other. First pregnancy, my advice to you is RELAX :o)

This is my second pregnancy and im still paranoid! I was in the emergency room last night because i had the same symptoms u have. Basically it was a waste of time b/c im not bleeding, but i am on bed rest for a week just to be safe. I dont think its anything to worry bout but right now u need lots of rest and lots of water. No lifting heavy things, just use your common sense and you'll be fine! Also drink lots of water!!!! I mean lots!

If there is some history in your family with miscarriages then you should talk to your doctor tell them about what your feeling, about your sister having problems during pregnancy and if there's any other problems in your family in the past and about your concerns.

OMG i had this too around the 6/7 weeks period time frame. totaly normal. I asked the same question on here and to my doctor.. it is just the uterus stretching. it will go away in a while.. then come back, then go away.. hehe..

GOOD LUCK

Its probably normal. I had a lot of crampy feelings with my 2 preganancy. I hate to say if it is a miscarriage they can't stop it at this early date. I would try to rest today if you can. Of course if it gets worse - call your doctor

Some cramping is normal the first month if it is not too severe.Congrats on the baby.

Call the doctor, do not rely on Yahoo answers or advice. You need to see a medical DOCTOR!
