ok, so I have a friend who has been known to lie, a lot. She's told us everything, she said she's a professional snow boarder (she's never been on the slopes) and had the guts to lie and tell us she has cervical cancer (which she doesn't cause I went to the doctor with her) Now she is saying that she's pregnant. I went to the doctor with her last sunday (15 days ago) and they did a blood test and it was negative. last friday (4 days ago) she said that she bought a lot of home pregnancy tests and they were all positive. Now she says she went to the clinic and is getting an abortion this thursday and then needs time to recover from surgery.
is it possible to be able to tell your pregnant within less than a week of being pregnant?
is an abortion surgical when the "fetus" is one week old?
I know this girl has issues, but I just really want to help her out. thanks so much for your time.

Well she could quite possibly be lying I used to work for a pregnancy aid clinic. First they have to confirm she is pregnant. Second confirm how far into the pregnancy she is. Third they would have set up for the abortion,that's a 2 week process at minimum.She would have to meet with a therapist to be sure that abortion is what she really wants. Fourth does she have they money for the abortion, most insurance companies don't cover abortions.Hope this helps you out,If you want verify this info call your local pregnancy aid clinic or likewise clinic.....

I have a sister that lies about everything. When she became pregnant with my neice we did not believe her. I mean up to this point she was pregnant every month and "lost the baby". Really talk to your friend and find out what is really going on. Most test do not show up during the first week of the pregnancy. In fact it takes up to 2 weeks for it to show up on a blood test. Your friend really needs some help it sounds like. Offer to go with her to this "surgery", and watch for her reaction. This is nothing for her to fool around with. If nothing else take a test to her and have her take it while you are there. Not in the room with her of course, but while you are at the home with her..

Well the blood test does not lie. She is a habitual lier and wants attention. Which is rather sad.. why would anyone lie about cancer of any sort. She needs to seek professional help. An abortion... well that is just awful!

she could be lying or she just could be scared to know i mean 15 and to actually have someone tell you yes you are pregnant may be way scary then not knowing at lest then you may not be anyways as far as symptoms you said she only about a month so that's normal hell ive had two kids and never had morning sickness the only throwing up i did was when i had the flu the most pregnant related symptoms i may if had at 1 month would be major fatigue

my suggestions ask her to take a test in front of you. go out and buy a test and say her go piss on it. if its positive tell her ok. but you dont need an abortion you just need a dnc. is where they scrape your uterus and everything thats in it goes. 1 week along doesnt need a surgical abortion they will treat it just like as if u had a miscarriage. if she is lieing. well i think it might be time for a friend reevaluation.

You're not pregnant enough to get a surgical abortion at one week...plus the only way to tell would be a blood test

within a week of having sex? no.
within a week of a missed period? yes, but a blood test should have turned up positive and home pregnancy test should have turned up negative.
it sounds like you need to talk to your friend about why she lies compulsively. and maybe someone who lies to people all the time isn't the best person to be friends with.

I think this so-called friend of yours has some problems that require professional medical help (psychologist) as she seems to be desperately craving attention. That is why she makes up tall tales. You really cannot help her as this is a deep-seeded neurosis in her and that requires professional medical expertise.

Why do you hang around with this girl? Don't let her pull you into her lies.
Just tell her that you know this can't be true, and to let it go. She needs more help than you can give her.

they won't even do an abortion unless your 8 weeks pregnant. your friend sounds like a pathological liar. sounds like she actually believes her own lies. she may need professional help, but i have no clue how you could convince her of this. good luck.
