Hate is a strong emotion and I'm not going to waste it on a date on the calendar...it's just another day as far as I'm concerned...when I'm with someone, I don't wait until 14 Feb to show them how I feel about them, I make sure they have no doubts on any day of the year. ☺

Valentine's Day is nothing but a very smart marketing strategy to get Americans to spend billions of dollars for one day! I don't celebrate it and I'm happily married..so its not like I hate it cause I don't have a partner. Its just a way to make money and people give into it and fall for it every year.

I don't like the overdone commercial cheesy aspect of the holiday, even on years when I have a boyfried, but I do highly enjoy the 75% off chocolates on February 15. You gotta take the good with the annoying.

Personally its a commercial event. Although I like the concept of putting time aside to show those you love how important they are too you. I think we forget too often to do that. And Valentine’s Day is a reminder to acknowledge people in our lives that make us feel whole, significant and happy.
The problem with Valentine’s Day is that it makes those of us who don’t get dozens of red roses and plush teddys feel somehow unloved and insignificant.
So forget the 14th and rather get the message!

I try to keep the romantic side of it open for my significant other, but my best friend was buried February 14, 1996. That changes the meaning for me.

i do for no other reason than i feel like im being told i must be romantic on this day and if im not im weird coz i cant be bothered with rusing around picking out a card and some crap present.

valentines day is great for lovers but not so great if you dont have somebody to treat you nice and make you feel special. but you should live in hope if not for yourself then for others
