I agree with lil southern girl - tea tree oil is the way to go - make sure it is pure and high quality, also depending on how bad the nail fungus is it may take up to a year to totally clear up - my toenails were extremely bad and the Dr.s remedy was a prescription for over $200/mth that must be taken for 12-18 months with numerous side effects that made me look for alternatives, no way was I going to take something that was possibly going to cause me more harmful health concerns

Tea tree oil. You can get it at any pharmacy, and beauty supply stores usually have it in a little bottle with a brush like nail polish to make it easier. It will take a few weeks, but it will kill the fungus - it is a natural antiseptic.

Oh, it smells pretty funky, so you may only want to use it at night before bed. But it's the best in my book.

Soak the nails in bleach for about 10 minutes each day, then using a Q-tip apply white vinegar around the cuticle.

or

Apply a thin layer of Vick's Vaporub morning and night to the affected nails.

It will take about three months before you have a noticable improvement.

Ok, just had a refresher course going to my foot n ankle guy last week. He said he's heard of alot of home remedies, such as baking soda, Epsom salt or mentholatum, but said a soak in Vinegar is the one with the most success.

remove as much of the nail as possible, using an emery board. Put Atomidine (can be gotten over the internet) on it every night until it is gone.
or soak in neem oil every day for a month.

I've heard Vicks Vapo-Rub is great for this. It takes 2-4 weeks to be fully effective, though, so don't give up too soon.
