The only reason there is not a thriving third party in the U.S. is because the two major political parties have conned Americans into believing that there is no viable alternative to the product they are selling.

However now, more than ever, the possibility of a third party making a successful run at the White House is better than ever.

The power of communication (via the internet) and the prospects of there being a longer than usual campaign (where the major party nominees are selected long before their respective conventions) gives voters a chance to conser more than two options.

What is needed in my opinion is a ticket helmed by two well-respected leaders.

Timothy, I like your idea and your candidates. I would listen carefully to what they have to say and see if I am in agreement with them. If I was, then yes, I would vote for that ticket!

Well thought out question!

If 9/11 had by no potential got here approximately, Al Gore would at present be working for his 2nd term and Rudy Giuliani would at present be an govt board member on a number of Fortune 500 agencies, no longer even thinking relating to the presidency.

we need a viable third party. check out the libertarian party. they stand for personal freedoms (unlike the religious right that wants to dictate all morality) and individual responsibility (unlike the dems who have created a culture where everyone is totally "dependent" upon big brother govt.) Yes, I'd vote for them
