I would say the two greatest scientists were Newton and Einstein. Einstein was certainly NOT a Christian. Newton was one but then he was also an alchemist, and no one today believes in turning lead into gold anymore.

Since the term "world's greatest scientist" is a subjective term and is different for every person - one might think Einstein and Edison are the greatest, while someone else might argue that Tesla and Newton were better... Some might even argue that Da Vinci was a scientist rather than an artist.

So who in your opinion are the two world's greatest scientists, and why is it so relevant that they are both Christians? It is only because most scientists lived in the western world and that christianity was widespread there, and before the 20th century and even still in the 20th century it was considered a taboo to not practice a religion, even worse if you practiced another than christianity. So 99.9% of the western population was christian.
And even considering that, they might be both christian, but christianity is just a term used for any religion based on the Bible. There are many different types of christianity, and therefore both scientists can be christians, but one could be Catholic while the other Baptist or Protestant.

So what? Is Einstein Christian too? Why is this relevant? YOu know what else about great scientists? They also use their lungs for breathing! That must mean that all people who share those qualities are scientists too! lol.

that would be kinda cool, but its too bad that NOT ALL scientists are christians. its kinda like saying, "Did you know all great scienetist were men?" I mean, sure, the majority of them but u cant say that about all scientists. BAM!!

Perhaps...but let me pose a question to you. What difference does it make? Does belief in God exclude reason? Does it exclude scientific pursuit? Does it mean and end to thought, wonder, search? Many scientists, philosophers, historians, etc are/were Christian...

Well, considering that naming anyone as "world's greatest" is purely a matter of opinion, that pretty much debunks that little argument, doesn't it?
