i was told that if one single snow flake lands on the roof of the London weather centre on Christmas day then it can officially be called a white Christmas.

I think its great when we get snow in London (apart from the transport shutting down of course!) I love snow and always have. I wouldnt call it a 'big deal' as such, but it doesnt happen that often & so its more of an experience I guess

Yes it's true. The TV and radio put out travel warnings advising everyone to stay at home and the tube stops running. Everybody has the day off and we're all glued to the telly, hoping for a shot of the snowflake before it melts.

I don't know about the people in London,but the T.V. news programs actually report it as if it really is an event,when other parts of the U.K. may have been under snow for weeks.

if it lands on christmas day it is a big deal, its that rare now people put bets on if it will snow on xmas day.or not
