Well, the world has always been a place of turbulence and change. Is the world better without dinosaurs? For some the answer is yes, for the dinosaur the answer is no.

Would there be more trees, less pollution, and more animals? Yes.

Would there be art, culture, an appreciation of beauty? No.

While in a technical sense it would be a better environment for some species, there would be no one to appreciate the improvement. I'm sure all the yappy dogs of the world appreciate human intervention which brought about their existence.

Better is subjective. Better for Who?

actually, in all honesty the world would be a better place if everyone was equally and very intelligent. At least then they would know what to do with the science they've created and didn't mess the world up.

But considering, the world would be the same place without intelligence. It would have been a better place without conscience though.

I think it would. But then again, if we're not here, then there would be no one to care if it's a better place or not..
