Hello,
I'm new to the Betta world and love my petstore kids, but would like to find another source for obtaining healthy, better quality betta's - preferably in the Columbus, Ohio area. Thanks.

I'm afraid that I don't know any specific breeders, but check out the following links, and you should be able to track some down:

You are so lucky to be in the Columbus area. The most fantastic aquarium store is there. Check out Byerlys Aquarium Supplies at 1472 W. 5th ave. I saw lots of different bettas when I was there last. Plan on staying for quite awhile though. They have the most fantastically healthy aquariums I have ever seen in a store setting. The staff are hugely knowledgeable. Good luck!

Byerlys I think gets betta from a local IBC breeder, if I recall correctly.

If not and even if so, I would suggest you look into the International Betta Congress. Tons of great info for members as well as shows, auctions and other ways to buy quality bettas direct from the breeders.
