Can anyone think of a way to make fun of the name Amber that would make me change my mind for naming my child?

Amber is fine, but I like Ember better. It's a little more unique and it gives the idea of a firey personality.

my twin sister is amber. i am amanda. i got made fun of. manda panda, amando commando, salamanda. you name it. amber never did. maybe amber pamper. oh, when she got older is was slamber. still. everyone gets teased no matter what. just teach your child to deal with it in the right way. i had the hardest time naming my first son for fear of being teased. vincent was the best choice.

I don't know any nicknames to come up w/. I personally do not like the name b/c the only Amber I know is a priss and a snot.

Amber Nicole is my best friends name, so I of course am biased, because she is such a classy lady that is what i associate the name with! best of luck to you!
