Nitride Ion Charge

It depends on the charges. If the charge of aluminium is 3+ and for oxygen it is 2-, we would make the same number of charges in both the element, by using 2 aluminium atoms and 3 oxygen atoms. And now the charges for both of them becomes 6+ and 6-. Therefore the formula would be Al2O3. Now if you do the same thing with everyone, then i am sure that you will get the balancing charges of each element, with correct chemical formula. And then compare it by my one: a-Al2O3 b-Mg3N2 c-K2S d-NaF e-MgF2

N-3. So sodium nitride would be Na3N, and magnesium nitride is Mg3N2.
