We are just getting to the point of real seriousness. I do not know what to get him. He isn't into sports, clothes or any typical things. I want to get him something that means more than the typical gift, ie chocolate, teddy bears ect. Help please!

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

You've said what he isn't interested in, but what about his interests...
Get him a movie or burn him a cd of music that he likes. Most guys like any movie where stuff blows up. You can get him the box set of Rambo for about $30.

If music, you could make him a CD, with songs that mean something. You could take him out on a day-long date to see things he likes (museums, etc.) ?

is he into music?
if you know his favorite song/artists
you could either make him a mixed tape or buy him a CD.
however you could make a crossword of private jokes you have between you =]
or write the private jokes in a card

I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. Cook him dinner, or make him some coupons for things he appreciates, even "I will do your laundry for one week" or "this coupon good for one movie date-my treat" - It shows thoughtfulness, does not cost a lot, and I promise he will like it. It also is not "too" serious.

well im not sure if this is much help, but i always try to get my man something that reminds him of our relationship, or maybe something that he is really into. Or something that will remind him of you when he sees it. And always write something from you in his card to let him know that your happy hes in your life.

Well i wasnt in to anything so i told my gf "we were close" to buy me a poetry book. So she bought me one and on the last page was her own little poem
