Gears of war question?

Does anyone know why after the berserker attacks and you defeat her in the "china shop" mission the screen goes to black. I can still see the menu screen when I pause and I can still here him run around and shoot his weapon.

It's not definate but when I bought my gears of war the guy at the store said that I may have problems because some of the disks have bugs in them so they skip or go black you might want to get ahold of the game maker and get a new copy
