I go to Rogers High school in tulsa ok. We just started a new semester and we have a really messed up schedule and we just now started a rule that we have to wear our school ids to do anything, to the restroom to go to another class room, etc why are principles making the stupidest rules up this school isn't safe even if he tries to make as many rules up but this is oklahoma and we have some dumb people in this state so.

when things go wrong at school...the security is questioned! they are merely takin precautions to protect you! can you imagine some freak walking in off the streets with a gun and blasting everyone? well...it has happened! so now, people without id will be questioned about their presence at the school!

Your principal (note spelling, please) may be reacting to the violence that has plagued high schools in other areas. He appears to think that displaying ids will keep non-students out of the campus. Do you think outsiders are causing problems in your school, making it less safe, or do you think that other students are the problem? If you think students are the problem, what would you do to make the students change their ways? If you have some ideas, present them to a teacher or even the principal himself. Who knows? If you are having a problem with safety, it is likely that the staff will welcome ideas from the students. It is worth a try.

1. I think he wants to make sure no guys in trench coats would come in.

2. He might want a promotion. So he's showing off.

3. Something bad happened before you were there.and he doesnt want it to happen again.

4. The school is in a nasty neighborhood.

5. Kids in your school bring guns into school.

If you were employed in NYC, this would be common practice since the 9/11 tragedy. It is unfortunate, but this is the world we live in.

They are making up rules because they are "reacting" to situations rather than planning for things and then enforcing rules that are already in place.

i heard about he whole id thing. There are other dumb ideas like not being able to chew gum, hold hands with others, no baggy jeans

it could be worse. i hear the new prinicpal at my old high school is banning flip flops and hooded sweatshirts...so, yeah
