I think it would require a clean slate, fresh start with all new elected to get rid of the deadwood.

We need a flood of voters to vote. There should be no proxy, or write in votes. Everyone should be required to register to vote and required to vote. No assistance, welfare, or Social Security would be paid to those who do not vote unless they are declared unable or have a serious disability or condition preventing them from doing so.

There should also be no narrow minded vote for ONE party. Look at the PERSON you are voting for... not the party. Thin about it... would you marry ANYONE of the opposite sex jusy because they are the opposite sex? Or would you rather pick that person because of who they are?... not who they are with.
We need to take a stand and pick the right people for the job.

Then it would require three independent groups to count votes for new elections with no contact between groups. Number of votes would be compared, and should be the same between all groups. It would require each vote cast to be recorded three times and collected by each group of counters.
We should also make offices available to the common man, and not just to those who can afford to buy an office. This country now needs leaders who are concerned with THIS country.

America needs a boost, and the regime of idiots we have in office now aren't worth 1/10th the price of their salary.

This is one idea.... don't get me going hehe!

this question has the easiest answer. if we will se then most of the worst politicians are from a low background and very less education. so a law should be made that uneducated can not lead us and our country. also there should be a special high level court for political disputes and cases. these caqses should be finished in short time. also the number of political parties should be limited to a max of 10 on state as well as national level.

We can't. Remember when Ross Perot was in the 1992 presidential race and suddenly dropped out for no real reason? Rumor has it that his family was threatened if he didn't bow out. By the time he got back in, he'd lost all credibility. America had it's chance to elect a 3rd party independent. And somebody put a stop to it. Bare in mind also that both republicans AND democrats receive BILLIONS in political contributions from major corporations who WANT them in power. They're not going to leave quietly just because the people of the United States say so! Besides......who is going to rise up and LEAD the American people who's neither a democrat or republican? Jesse Ventura? You going to alter the US Constitution so that Arnold Schwartzenegger can run? Show me a strong 3rd party candidate and I'll give him/her my vote.

Amend the constitution ending representative government remove the possiblity of corruption toward the Majority,"fleecing of America!" Replace with employee's that are unlike NOW "well managed" & face replacement or being fired! Ultimate rule & control should rest with the legal citizen majority who HAVE a vested interest in inclusion of the most than like now where only the few are HAVES!

We can, perhaps, effect how quickly it gets more
corrupt, but there has been little evidence to
show that anyone has successfully rid their
political system of corruption short of a coup.

And then it comes back...

You could argue that the Roman empire ultimately
fell because of corruption (and complacency).
Any similarities between the Romans and us
is strictly intentional.

So, we're going to have corruption - we just
have to fight like hell to keep it as rare as we can.

We've got to get rid of BOTH political parties. That's why I'm going third party this time around. I don't even care which one. Whichever one is on the ballot where I live gets my vote. It's the only way we're ever going to shake things up!

Ride herd on all the elected and appointed officials. Get into their business and make sure they are doing what we elected them to do. Send them monthly postcards telling them what they did wrong and what they did right.

We have started a "pink postcard" campaign wherein we are sending our elected and appointed officials pink postcards that say "You're fired" and why if they are not doing their jobs.

We're looking forward to the day when we can send "Attaboy" postcards to politicians and appointed officials praising them for doing a good job. We need to remind them all that "It takes 10 Attaboys to make up for 1 Awshit"!

If all eligible citizens vote and know their politicians, we can do wonders for better government. Let's check into the money and where it is coming from. Let's ensure that corrupt politicians don't have opportunities to continue their corrupt ways. Fire them all if they aren't doing thier jobs.

Feedback and communication. That will do wonders to get them in line. Additionally, prosecution for offenders works wonders.

The day we, each one of us, understand what our rights, duties and responsibilities are and learn how to discharge them effectively, we would have a clean society. Politics and all other social aspects would fall in places automatically.

Our political system is not dirty. Due to greed it has become bad. Satisfaction can remove faults.
