I was making $29 an hour working for the Air Force until I had my second child. While I was on maternity leave, they changed supervisors and it was the most awful woman I had ever met. I had worked for her five years before and when it was time to go back to work, I talked to my husband and decided to resign instead of having to deal with her. It was a difficult decision considering I had 16 years under my belt already, but I could always go back later. I've been a stay at home mom for two years now and my husband and I started a successful business. So my story has a happy ending. I don't think anyone should have to put up with the awful people we work with and for on a daily basis, so make you plan and go for it. Good luck!

Most people feel that way.I understand how you feel.I felt the same way sometimes back. But I found out that sometimes money motivates people whether they like the boss or not. It's a fact. There are few choices that you may look at it;:
1.Either you quit you job because you don't like your boss. But remember you not like the boss at the other job also.
2.Make the money what you ar making and ignore the boss as much as you can.
3.Become your own boss by having your own business.
Most people do the above 1 or 2 items for their whole life and then think that why I am not happy. They complain, condemn and criticise about everything that goes wrong in them. That's not true.Dear, evalute yourself.Drop me an email at setuup4@yahoo.com.I can give more insight and information to you,if you wish.
HOPE means; Helping Other People Excell
Thanks.

You should start looking for a new job. Don't just quit without a backup...get another job and then quit. Make sure to give 2 weeks notice, and leave on good terms.

I definately understand where you are coming from. I am in school, I have a good paying part time job (for what it is) but I cannot stand my boss. She is annoying and disrespectful and says everything in a fake nice voice, even if she is mad. It is awful. I can't leave right now as I will be leaving in May when I graduate and get a "real" job.

All I can say is this, "All money ain't good money", but take some steps to alleviate the problem first. If he's being a real %&^$@#!! and you feel it's totally unjust, talk to his boss. Put HIM on the ropes for being such an idiot. Maybe then he'll catch a clue.

Ask yourself if staying's totally worth it. Is there a promotion on the horizon, better opportunity in the near future? That sort of thing. Don't let some punk boss push you around. Work hard enough and you may be his boss one day. See how he likes it.

If you won't miss making $20 an hour, more power to you. That's what "All money ain't good money" is all about.

If you can't afford it, you can't just quit. See if you can find another job that pays the same, or has sufficient benefits to make up for any difference.

Also, you may consider a communication class, to help you understand where your boss is coming from. You might be taking things he/she says personally, when they are just trying to run their portion of the business, and that's the way they communicate.

$20/hr is alot of money but if you quit make sure you'll find a job that pays the same or better. I only make $14 and I hate my boss with a passion :)

Only if you find one which pays the same amount, has the same career progression etc..

Otherwise you should not. There will always be people in the work place you do not get on with but why should you have to give up your job because of them. Work hard and move up the ladder who knows you might be his/her boss in the future... good luck

Do you have another job lined up? If not, how do you plan to support yourself if you quit? If you can't stand your boss, get your resume polished up and start looking.

Find a new job to replace this old job. Take your time give it 2 months to find something that pays equally then quit your job.
