The place i rent has a Futon in lounge.It was ok for a couple of days
but now uncomfortable is inadequate a word.I've tried cushions,pillows and even a quilt between it folded,seeking BB(bot&
back) comfort.Is it going to be a case of burn the Futon.Or is there
help out there?

Get a different mattress. I have a futon and I sleep on it every night. Make sure it is a thick one, and not flimsy

You can buy toppers for them, they are an extra small mattress. You can buy them in places like ikea and argus etc.

try one of those mattress toppers, they are thick so that should make it comfortable !
