Interesting post..being an actress and being in a reality show are two very different things. I have been an actor/singer so I am going to give you my advice hard and fast.
1. Decide what you want to be..there are only a small handful of "reality stars" that have been able to turn their exposure into a meaningful career. In fact I can only think of two (outside of American Idol style shows)
2. Training-Spend the money and save yourself embarrassment. get acting training..screen acting and stage acting are slightly different techniques. You can audit most classes for free to determine what works best for you.
3. Get professional headshots done (learn what an actors headshot looks like)
4. read as much as you can on acting technique as well as the business side of things. thi swill save you money in the long run
5. Make sure you are in the business for the right reasons, if you are seeking fame and money..you will find that your decision making will be greatly impaired.
6. You live in NJ, so you are next door to NYC..there are plenty of resources there...be prepared to bust your tail and compete with hundreds of younger, and hungrier talent..
Now go kick some butt..good luck!

You won't have to give up being a mom. Acting in plays in your community should be your start so you can gain some experience if you don't have any. Be on the look out in the newspapers and magazines from your area. The reality tv thing is just a little bit different. go to the websites of the different networks(NBC,CBS, and fox especially) and they can tell you what they need and what they are looking for. Check back as often as you can because sometimes new shows come up out of the blue and the more time you have to plan. The more prepared you can be for what they want. Keep in mind that they are looking not only for a cute face but someone who is entertaining. So don't hold back! Good Luck

Many, many youthful transwomen are kicked out of their families, and can desire to stay on the streets, the place they fall into an extremely predatory crowd. many situations they get addicted to medications, and no person will hire them in spite of the medications, many agencies won't hire soley on the actual incontrovertible fact that they are trans. So for nutrition, medications and hormones they turn to prostitution, and in the event that they are fairly sufficient might get picked up by utilizing the porn marketplace. i'm specific there are some star ones that delight in it and do it because of the fact they have a fondness for it, yet ninety 9% do it because of the fact they sense there is not any different selection. I even have some trans buddies who got here from the streets of massive apple and l. a. who have been this on the brink of falling into that cycle, yet met the final human beings on the final time and located help to get on the final music. i'm hoping as issues circulate forward and greater agencies undertake anti-discrimination policys and we get greater anti-discrimination rules you will see much less and much less of this.

You got a dream job when you had 3 kids. Time to raise your kids and forget about that.
