I have two cellphones that I had when I used Sprint. I want to use these phones with my new carrier.

You can't do that. Sprint uses a CDMA network and their phones are locked to their network. You can not use a Sprint phone with any other carrier. The only 2 carriers in the US that can program unlocked GSM phones to work on their network is Cingular and TMobile.

Well unfortunately this can't be done. These phones are CDMA phones which in the US do not use SIM cards and thus cannot be unlocked to use with other carriers.

Actually the phones could be used with Verizon or Alltell, but 2 things have to happen:

1. They have to agree to use the equipment which 99.9% of the time they want you to buy a phone from them. (mainly because it has their branding all over it)
2. If they agree, they have to get the programming codes from Sprint and reprogram it to work with them.

Trust me, if you love the phones that much, stay with Sprint, otherwise just buy new phones.

You have to take them to the store of your new carrier. THey may be able to re-program them. You can't do it yourself.
