I am quite sure that there are many people in the country of Iran who are politically savvy and not "nut-jobs". Why anyone would say that they just want to destroy the world is beyond me.
There are many, many Christians in the US. Most, if not all, of our Presidents have been "Christian" (at least in name). Did all of their political decisions stem from their religious beliefs?? Of course not!
I think that US citizens have an easier time dealing with a different culture if they can label it, and, if possible "de-humanize" it (just like the military), therefore all Arabic nations are run by "nut-jobs". It is a shame that we can't see other races and religions, other political objectives, other human objectives, as similar to our own.
Unless we learn to see other people as our "brothers" and "sisters" on this earth, we are all doomed to fail!!!

I thought about this, and it's really to do with why you come here. You want to express what you feel in a simple and unhindered way. Difficult questions which contradict your current thinking but demand courtesy are not appealling and not fun to answer. This goes for me too; there are some questions which I just can't answer.
Maybe you're asking the wrong questions. Or the right ones

You being one of the most dishonest contributors on this site, should be able to answer your own question. You post questions that are based on assumptions which are totally wrong and factless. You make your questions into dishonest statements based on lies and you have the audacity to ask this question. I think it's because you can't formulate and honest question without falling back onto your liberal hate-mongering and that probably holds true for the others of this same ilk..

Even when presented with "facts" people still see things different ways.
The saying "Belief creates reality" is what you need to consider here. Everyone works from their own belief systems, and therefore everyone sees things differently.
It is not that people are being dishonest so much as being narrow minded. They have trouble breaking out of their paradigm to see things from the opposing viewpoint.

My best bet is lack of knowledge or proof of a question being answered. Hatred towards others because of the way they answered the question. Could be political views, and criteria based upon different political parties. Many reasons, no one answer. Just guesstimates at best.

I wonder that about this poster just about every question and answer.
case in point your assertion that those answers to a HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION IS ANSWERED WITH DISHONESTY. You must mean people are dishonest when they dont agree with you.. I get it.

I would bet that its usually its a desire to state a point of view rather than providing an answer to the question.

You're really going to have to provide an example. This is a forum for people's opinions, so I'm curious how you can label opinions as "dishonest."

I understand. I have posted questions that have had articles from Iraq by the people of Iraq saying how bad things are there. Not one republican posted an answer.

If you were a conservative I'd have to report this because it is technically not a question. Since you are a flaming leftist socialist liberal, kudos.
