Mylicon drops are great. They worked with my twins when they had the same problem. You can get them just about anywhere, like walmart, any grocery store usually. There is also some others called little tummies i believe. I never actually tried those ones, but i have heard others say they have and they work well. Mylicon drops are nice to have on hand. Good luck!!

My son had the same problem. We tried mylicon drops, we did the burping thing, we laid him on his back, we laid him on his sides. Nothing seemed to help. Then after several weeks, and many, many tired nights, we got a book on infant massage. I guess we must have started it around 7 weeks old. What a lifesaver! There's a section on colic massage that helps the baby's digestion and moves gas through the body more easily. I have found, from talking to friends and through my own experience, that breastfed babies don't burp as well or strongly as formula babies. My son got to loving massage so much that as soon as he saw the bottle of lotion (before we put on jammies) he'd stretch out really long and grin! I didn't eat broccoli or real spicy foods when I was nursing and we also laid him down to sleep on his side or tummy and that seemed to help a lot. Good luck!

There are drops sold over the counter that are safe to use for babies. It's called Mylocon X (I think I'm spelling it right) N-E ways, it works great and can be used up to 4 times a day. My son used to have colic and would cry a lot..

You can give him mylecon drops, they'll help break up the little bubbles in his tummy. Just don't eat anything that would give you gas. Also make sure he burps real well, some babies need to burp twice.

I find that with my daughter, Ovol works well which is an anti-flatulent. I also find that by moving her legs in a 'bicycle pedal' type motion, it helps her pass her gas.
