Did you ever make dandelion bracelets and necklaces when you were a kid? I love wishing on them too. But, also I like it when I mow them down while mowing the yard. Of course, you always find that few that won't die and pop right back up. Last summer I taught my granddaughter the art of jewelry making with them. She loved it, too! ;)

this is not a joke: soak the freshly opened flowers in salt water (to remove the bitterness), flour them, saute them in butter. they taste rather like wild mushroom and are chock full of vitamins and minerals.
so yes, i love dandelions, when they're not in he lawn or worse yet, in the flower beds.
