To the budding author - I sure hope you're being sarcastic ! Personally I wouldn't want to be in a world without birds - but then I even like seagulls!

No I'm pretty sure he isn't, he is back in business, and why shouldn't he be? He must have been well insured against all eventualities.
As for any supermarkets they will (for a short while) stop selling turkey products from Bernard Mathews or any one else, not because they feel this will benefit mankind, but because they know people wont be buying , so not a lot of profit in that is there?
We have all been assured there is no chance at all of humans catching this flu thing by eating infected birds as long as the are cooked at the correct temperature, so why did they slaughter almost 200 thousand of them, and destroy the bodies? Easy really isn't it, the public will 'feel safer'!
Now back to your parrot bit, do we really need birds at all, what good are they doing? The poor old Dodo is now gone, have we missed it? would we miss parrots, or those pigeons that race about the country, and cr*p all over the place, hens could go we had a big scare over eggs not so long back , just cant see any point in any of them, those little canaries and budgie things what good are they to mankind?
Then we had that 'mad cow' thingy they should all go, we can manage without milk and butter and cheese, snails have you seen the slime and some people eat that! they should all go, I've also seen a few rabbits still hopping about, I thought we got rid of all of those? I've been trying to think up which (if any) animal or bird we shouldnt get rid of but sorry they all have to go!
Hope this helps cheer you up a bit??
Give it a few months turkey will be back on the menu, as eggs were.etc etc.

Yes I do and he'll even be sicker if he thinks that by replacing stock by imports is the solution. I've just heard that the supermarket Sainsbury have taken all of Bernard Matthews products of the shelf.
