I'm talking Local,State or Federal well managed fire at will employee's that MUST be productive! NOT the circus that exist NOW! How many Government enties & Agentcies out there are just people hanging for 8 hours to collect a check NOT serving the public or laughing at the public? The same needs to happen with Representative Government NO phony corrupt election process where they can not be immediatly removed etc! Ultimate Rule & control should rest with the legal citizens!

The State of Missouri turned over all the driver's license bureaus to private companies via contracts. They have turned into monopolies that take your money, yet cut-corners in providing necessary employees to provide the service. I would certainly be in favor of firing the contractors. I don't blame the people that work there, they actually do work. It's management that needs the axe.

Yeah, but a hospital or the senior citizen's pension scheme isn't a business. It's a public service. Public services are not run for profit, and therefore can't be run like a private business.
There are plenty of people in private corporations sitting around for 8 hours to collect a cheque - bad management happens in all types of organisations.

Representative government can't be run like a business. The whole point of it is so that there is no mob rule. This is the same reason the supreme court justices serve for life. They can do their job immune to public opinion. So representatives need to be immune from the uninformed public for at least a brief time to get something done.

Now other government agencies can be run like a business. Our government recognizes this and that's why we have started outsourcing so many of our government functions.

Isn't that what Ross Perot wanted to do? Run the country like a business? Maybe we should look to corporate CEO's of companies like Microsoft, Toyota, Dell, IBM, and HP to run our country instead of career politicians who's only goal in life is to get votes and get elected!
