My Partner of 2 years smokes weed daily (nearly an 8th a day) will this effect his behaviour and feelings?

It's interfering with his thought patterns and thereby impeding his learning processes. But I doubt he cares at this point. He needs the money that buys it to be stopped ASAP!! Another thing, he is also bypassing the brain levels that could give him his Own high in the future but that doesn't happen often enough for him right now. He wants it all the time. It's the drug talking. Is there a problem or particular worry that weighs him down when he's straight? He should be working on that problem while he weans himself with less and less increments of marijuana. Now is the time, before you Both get Busted. Good Luck Honey!! @8-)

Yes, because he's addicted to it if he smokes that much on a daily basis... but the marijuana itself won't permanently change his brain chemistry. However If he stops he may well go through some withdrawal which can include irritability anxiety physical tension decreases in appetite and mood. Symptoms of marijuana withdrawal first appear in chronic users within 24 hours. Marijuana withdrawal is most pronounced for the first 10 days and can last up to 28 days. If he wants to quit he'll need your support and understanding through what will be a rough time. All in all though, it's not nearly as bad as trying to quit smoking cigarettes which can give you cravings for years.

Yes. That stuff messes with the chemicals in your brain. He could become depressed or anything.

yes it will! it affects his behavior and feelings. he behaves as if he cant control himself and he will surely feel lowself esteem if he somehow realized that he cant control totally himself not to do things unessesary like smooking weed.
