I have a set of expensive, real hair makeup brushes. They are softer than synthetic, but other than that they're exactly the same. The real and the fake both apply the same and shed on your face. Don't waste your money, go with the synthetic.

Real hair brushes often cost more and don't last as long, and they may shed when they're starting to wear out. But you may be able to blend better with real hair.

I would try synthetic brushes first, you can wash them in the sink with soap and water when they get dirty and you won't have to be so careful with them. You can buy them at drugstores, cosmetics counters in department stores, and also online at beauty sites. Mary Kay has some.

Good luck!

I like Target for reasonably priced makeup and brushes, except for my Bare Minerals foundation.
