I agree. Let the school ppl do their jobs. Who grows up and says "When I grow up, I want the government telling me how to do my job!"

I agree ! The governments cookie cutter approach to education would be a monumental disaster. Just take a look at Bush's "no child left behind" act.. The needs of one school vary greatly from any other and the only way to meet those needs is local control.

each school is run by tax dollars, therefore the school is governed by the rules set by each district, in whatever state you happen to live in. now if you do not like how a particular school is run there is the option of home schooling, but you still need to follow the agenda set forth by the school district, or as we had the option, PRIVATE SCHOOL...for us it was PRIVATE CATHOLIC SCHOOL, but there are NON-DENOMINATIONAL SCHOOLS as well.

But in private school you still need to pay for the school, along with still paying taxes for the school district you live in....it's on the property taxes you pay, etc..., in one way or another the government will always have a say in how tax monies are spent, havent you figured that out yet?
