Use VNC software. Install VNC software and open the ports on your router so you can access it remotely (I think it is port 5800 and 5900). You will need to obtain the IP address of your router...not your PC. You should to be able to connect to the PC running VNC. I do it all of the time and it works great.

Every computer on a network has a unique name (identifier)

Go to start, computer, right click & properties.
Go to the computer name tab, then look for full computer name.
Copy the whole name, excluding the period at the end.

Go to start, run, type in mstsc and enter.
In the connection box, hit ctrl + v to paste the computer name.
You should be able to connect.

If having problems, disable the firewall by going to network connections under the control panel, then right click your connection, properties, advanced & uncheck the firewall, & ok.

Alternatively, google other VNC Clients such as Real, putty, or tight vnc.

Hope this helps!

First, at home, figure out what your IP address is to the world. www.whatismyip.com will show it.
Second, you need a software program that will provide you with your remote access, either an FTP server or VPN program. I would recommend Hamachi, http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1932959,00.asp
Then you should be able to access your network from anywhere in the world. Hope this helps! And be sure to Star me!

Sounds like you'll need to get into your router and enable the RDP to forward to one of the PCs in your network. I believe RDP runs on port 139 so you'll need to forward request for that port to one of your systems.
