These are "stereotypes." Every society has its own expectation of what is supposed to be masculine or feminine. If you go against a prescribed norm, you are labeled. People who judged dancing men as gays are coming from a society that consider dancing as exclusively feminine. Look at it from the point of view of Latin Americans. Dancing is macho in these culture. Likewise, it is also very feminine for women.

I think the people you are referring to have decided that since "masculine" is opposite of "feminine" then all the qualities have to follow directly. If feminine implies graceful and flexible then these qualities are not recommended for men. Just like looking strong is not recommended if a woman wants to appear feminine. (But those of us who dance know better just how strong the female dancers are.) This is called stereotypes, or simplification of reality that leads to inaccurate picture.
I think men should dance. It teaches them to stand upright, for starters. LOL. Nothing wrong with knowing how to move your body, either. I don't think it makes them look feminine, unless they really dance like a girl.

men wo can dance can be called gays if that means happy.lol

Well, I am in a dance company and there are guys who are dancing but all are straigt but me. So, they don't look feminine, or what people think is not always right.

Watch "Shall We Dance" or "Dirty Dancing."
Personally, I don't care if you're the gayest man on the planet. Something about a man who knows his way around a dance floor is sexy as hell. (Wranglers and boots optional, but definitely a plus!!)
