It influences me, but not in a positive way. I'm usually dubious of things marked 'light' because having less fat doesn't necessarily mean having less sugar or being good for you. If the packet tells me it's got no added sugar or less salt or something like that, then I'll be more likely to buy it, as I don't like overly sweet or salty things and it's the healthy option. In any case, read the nutrition information - marketing language is a trap.

Depends on what the product is and what "light" means. Sometimes it doesn't mean anything at all. Or it takes away one thing but gives you way too much of something else that may be bad for you such as too much sodium. I have to read labels to get a full picture not just marketing "fluff".

beer, yes but otherwise i stay away from refined food...oh yes to light yogurt and milk i hate the full fat milk products ewww...
