yeah ive tried it. its good to start off with somethings u have but don't need i.e clothes?. its also good to goto boot sales to try to get a bargain and then sell them on ebay for more i.e some guy buys rare books from boot sales for like £10 £20 and then sells them on ebay for like £1000 - £3000 (depending on the book) personally i think its a great place to earn some extra cash. i stopped doing it because i got a better paying job but now and then i do it. oh its good to sell things that are "hot" (most searched for) which are PSPs and xbox 360s

i have sold many things from jewlery, clothing, and purses.

the good thing is you can set a reserve price just in case someone wins the bid but is sustantially low, you can have the right not to seel, and the bidder is aware.

the bad is ppl make fake ebay accounts and jack up your bid if you sell simular items.

i personally had someone report me for the picture i used, they claimed it was theirs, (it was a pic i googgled off the internet, which i KNOW wasn't theirs!) ebay pulled my listing and put a strike against my account.

as far as the fees, they can rack up, it cost to post a listing anywhere from $2-4 and then after you sell the product they charge like 10% of the final price so basically you pay ebay 25% of the price after user fees, seller fees and final value fees..

i prefer ioffer (less than ebay fees) or craigslist.org (free and usually local buyers)

good luck!

My husband sold car parts mostly performance stuff. He would sell intercoolers, turbos and other stuff that I don't really know the name of. We were trying to get rid of it because we moved into a smaller place for now without a garage. We made around $1200. Too bad we ran out of stuff! Good luck!

I've been selling on eBay for almost a year and a half. I've probably made at least a thousand dollars...but I usually turn right around and buy from someone else.

yes. i used to sell children's clothes... i did pretty good...
i am about to open a store and sell things also...
i am not sure what to expect though... i am going into a whole new line of things... kinda like you... gonna venture out...
i would suggest going to borders and getting a book if you haven't already... i did... and there are some pretty interesting things in there...

i'm still in the process of reading it, though... so, right now i don't have too many pointers... just do lots of research... that's what i am doing... good luck... it's kinda fun...

You get out of it what you put into it. I know someone who make their living off of e-bay. I think it all depends on what you are selling and how much time you put into it.
