The mother of my husband's daughter called at 4:52am. I was pissed. Look at the time! (Note: they live in another country but the time is the same!). She said she wanted to catch him before he left for work. She told him about a a doctor's appointment his daughter had, what the problem might be. Unless it's an emergancy, she could call in the evening. I told him that. He got upset and said it's his daughter. It's not the first time they've done it. (6:00am and on). Am I being unreasonable? Is that too early to be calling?

That's too early to call for that. If the daughter is really sick or in danger or something then fine, call anytime but to call to inform him of a potential problem she could have waited. I mean, he's in another country, what the heck can he do about it anyway?

Also, if the daughter was upset or something then she could call for comfort, if they have that kind of relationship but not her, not at that time.
