I'm from Miami (USA) and I was so sad when Steve Irwin died, I can't even immagine how it was over there in Australia...

It was not only a big shock to me, but most of the Australians here. We were speechless. At the same time that Steve died a famous car driver got killed in a car accident. He had been around longer than Steve, but Steve was the one that got the most attention. and rightly so. He was a legend.

I was actually in Australia when he died, it was pretty dissapointing, they of course were devastated considering all Australia is known for is him and Dundee. I am sad, but not really any sadder than any other death I hear about, however, I do greatly appreciate all he did for animals and hope that his family continues what he started.

Im from the uk and i was absolutly shocked. My son was only watching crocodile diarys on tv the night b4. I imagine my reaction was nothing compared to the people of australia tho..

It was very shocking and sad.. everyone was speaking about it..just like Princess Diana for Britain...

IIMHO he will be sorely missed and great shows and information will not be done with creativity that he brought to them. He did so much to educate us in ways that we never really thought about before.
