I like heavy metal bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Trivium, Diecast, and bands like that. But I hate it when singers do those stupid cookie monster type screams. All those bands that do that sound exactly the same. Can you think of any heavy, fast-paced bands like that?

You do not listen to heavy metal, son.
HEAVY metal are bands like Iron Maiden, Hammerfall, Running Wild, Grave Digger, Dream Evil....
The stuff you listen to is commercial MTV rock, regurgitated thrash or, in the best case, nu metal.
Learn about your genres before you go and give heavy metal a bad name.

That is referrred to as "death metal" and actually mentions the cookie monster voice on wikipedia. I would say a few of Pantera's songs fit in that category, still love their music.
