My baby has a sensitive stomach it seems and the dr put her on Alimentum (similac) and it is so expensive plus I dont think it makes a huge difference because we still need to use the gas drops. ANY SUGGESTIONS????

Alimentum was suggested by Nurses at the health department because it is covered on the WIC program. If you qualify then they will cover most of the formula you use. Unfortunatly my daughter couldn't use the Alimentum and we had to stick with the Similac Lactose Free, which is slightly cheaper than the other, but unfortunatly isn't covered by WIC. The Similac Lactose Free Advance seemed to be easier on her stomach than any of the other lactose free or soy brands we tried, and believe me, we tried them all! Hope this helps. : )

Enfamil has one like it called Nutramigen. It is expensive but if it is what your baby needs, then so be it. You can get WIC. They will pay for that kind of formula, but only with a dr. note.

enfamil is better than similac in my opinion, try the soy kind. your baby might be allergic to cows milk.

Ask your doctor for generic substitions. They should understand that not everyone can afford name brand formula and not everyone qualifies for wic.
good luck
