We were thinking about putting together a contest for our customers here. We'd do a bracket for the NCAA tournament. Whoever wins gets a prize.

Anyway, is this legal? I emailed the NCAA last year and got no response.

I think it is legal if the money is low or you play for a prize. If people have to put in money to play, it is probably considered gambling.

It is legal as long as the house doesn't take a cut of the winnings.. Then they cant consider it gambling. My husbands work does thing like that all the time. they have never had a problem

As long as 100% of the intake is given out as prizes.
