In wow is the a download or ingame feature that allows voicechat rather than text based chat? If not is there some way to intergrate skype to use this?

my guild uses Ventrilo. we pay $3 a month for a 10 person server. it works great and makes game play much easier.

There is a speak function on wow in the sounds menu under "Voice". I have never used it so I dont know how or if it works, but I assume you have to be in a part and other people need it turned on too. Most guilds runs Teamspeak or Ventrillo, but there isnt really a decent way to talk with voice chat to random people out of your guild.

Yes u can use Sype in WoW. Its really easy first turn on Skype. Call your firends. Invite more if u like. Now log in to WoW. And u r still talking in the game. If u want to hear ur friends better all u have to do is turn you headphones up and turn the WoW BGM and Sound Efects down in the options menue.

Never used skype. Most of the guilds in WoW use Ventrillo to communicate when raiding and just messing around alike. It is a free download and if your in a guild they will usually provide you with the IP and password to log in.

there is no in game chat for wow most people use a seperate program and join channels depending on what group they want to be in for voice chat
