can i connect my xbox 360 to my to the back of my pc via the ethernet cable to play on xbox live?

i have a computer downstairs which has wireless broadband connected. to connect 2 the internet on the pc in my room i use a wireless reciever . what i want to know is if i connect the 360 which is in my room to the back of the pc in my room, will i be able to connect to xbox live

first off you dont connect the xbox 360 to your computer you would connect it to the wirless router and do you have a subscription to xbox live if you do then you can play
