about a pint of gasoline spilled onto the floor of my car after running out of gas. Ive left the doors open for over 24 hours but the odor remains.

If you can take the carpet out and give it as much air as possible , it will eventually disappear, try putting a half an onion in your car face side up this will eliminate some of the smell.

Get a can of spray carpet cleaner and just follow the instructions on the can.
