do you have it done? did it hurt? can you get a small little stud after its healed and how long does it take to heal? As I am thinking if getting it done but only want something discreet in my lip as I do not want to put prospective employers off me.

And not all employers will turn you down. The state of NJ doesn't discriminate when it comes to piercings and tattoos. I work there with 10 tattoos.

i used to have two lip piercings but I took them out because I didn't like them anymore. It hurts but if you really want to get it done don't worry about the pain. If you have had your ears pierced, then you will be fine. You can get a small stud after its healed whenever the pain subsides and swelling goes down enough to change jewelry. It takes from 2 weeks to 2 months to heal, depending on the person. If you do get it pierced, keep it clean with sea salt.

Unless you are applying at Hot Topic, anything but ear piercing will put a potential employer off. If you still choose to have it done maybe start with a little hoop, they are not as obtrusive. I've also seen a little stud lower in th lip, and on the upper lip, referred to as a "Madonna". It is only a piercing and if you hate it you can just take it out. Enjoy.

get it done.ive had mine for about 13yrs no problems. also have 10 others.in various parts of me.doesnt hurt rearly.its all in the mind!!
