At this point when it's so soon after the fall, I strongly doubt it is nerve damage. I would suspect nerve impingement or nerve irritation, though.
Do some gentle stretching exercises to help with blood flow. If it hurts; STOP.
Also, try soaking in a warm bath. This will help things relax.
You can also eat & take some Motrin.
I suspect it will calm down in a few days, but if it doesn't; go see your Doctor.

My guess is you have a bruised area where a major nerve runs close to the surface. The bruised area started to swell which is a normal response to injury and is fluid moving into the area. As the fluid moved it was confined in an area and pressure increased which squeezed around the nerve that supplies the skin of your foot. Once that swelling can be decreased enough to reduce the squeeze, your foot numbness will go away. If this occurs within a couple of days you should not need a doctor's advice. Ice over the area of the bruise might relieve the pressure on the nerve.
You may need an Xray to rule out a fracture. Could be a hairline fracture.

You don’t have to get worried about it. It could be because there is not enough blood circulation due to perhaps disuse atrophy or perhaps due to the fact that part of your body was at rest for two or three hours. You can find good home remedies for this. I did find some at http://ailments.in/peripheralneuropathy.html

cant think of a nerve that controls only the foot without numbness anywhere else. If it continues or other symptoms develop seek medical advice. (not here.)

You may have jolted your spine causing an inter vertebral disc to move slightly and put pressure on the sciatic nerve. this may well be the cause of the numbness and you need to get it checked out at the hospital

If you think you are injured, try not to move the injured area -- you could injure yourself more. Just see a doctor.
