Slayer did won a grammy for their song Eyes of the Insane.
They were probably not in the Grammy's because they probably thought they were going to lose. But they won! Hurray, for Best Metal Performance, though I think the media ignored Slayer cause they they're awesome!
They should have performed at the Grammy's because the performance of Red Hot Chili Peppers (nice band) was flat! Slayer would have been ripping and shredding if they played.

they lost to the dixie chicks because they supported Bush to much :)
