ok if a team doesnt win or go to the playoffs for like a certain amount of years.....does the nfl get rid of the team or wat....i was just wondering for the heck of it

No, every team stays in the NFL no matter how bad a team gets. If that was true, the Lions would have been gone by now.

The NFL doesn't decide it...We do!!! As long as the team has loyal and well spending fans, a team like the Lions can stay around forever. Look at the packers, between Super Bowl 2 and Super Bowl 28(I believe). They barely had winning seasons and horrible......horrible players, but yet they sold all their tickets and the fans kept the team alive.

Maybe we could demote teams to the CFL or NFL Europe...might be a good idea. Problem is you end up replacing the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals with teams like the Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts.

Of course not...the NFL has control over how bad a team is run by its owner (see: Lions, Raiders, Cardinals). If the team sucks and the fans aren't showing up, the franchise may opt to relocate to another city. That hasn't happened in a decade though.

No. Another team has to be formed and then the NFL committee will decide either to kick one team out making the 4 teams in 8 conferences or will keep 11 teams in 3 conferences which is kinda gay, so I think the first one.

No the Lions and Browns and Cardinals are secure with their future in the NFL. As much as we fans think they need to be demoted to NCAA Division 1 somehow.

If that was the way they did it....there would be no Detroit Lions...so...nope. We love the Lions, pretty much an easy win for any team that plays them, can't argue with that if you aren't a Detroit fan.
