Buy him a meal from your favorite restaurant. Add a valentine's day card giving him happy thoughts and a feeling of being cared for. That's really nice of you to do an act like that.

Give him a taxi voucher to cover the cost at the end of the day when he pays a cab driver like myself to take them home to an apartment building that's nicer than what I live in.
