I haven't had a period since november 06, i have done a test a week to see if i am pregnant and they all say negative, my doctor told me that if they say i'm not, i'm not, i have been feeling unwell lately and last week extremley sick, my sister didnt find out she was pregnant til she was 8 weeks late and that was after about 10 tests, the doctor says my sickness if due to sympathy pains (my sis is due next month) and basically says i'm not ovulating?

i have no idea what is going on, if im not pregnant i want my period i know that stress can cause periods to be delayed however i can't help but getting stressed out about all of it, any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks

I would go to another doctor immediately. Sympathy pains? He/she sounds like a jack***. Please consider a 2nd opinion right away. Any doctor worth their salt would actually tell you to go out and get a 2nd opinion - if they are nasty about it - find another doctor. You deserve to have an answer and not some ridiculous comment about having sympathy pains.

There is a reason you're feeling sick and you deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.

I'm having the same issue. I haven't had a period since Thanksgiving. I've done 3 hpt-all were negative. I went to the Dr's yesterday for a blood test and I'm waiting for a call back with the results. You should definitely see your doc (consider a 2nd opinion maybe?) and get a blood test done to be sure. Good luck!

If you're not ovulating your doctor can put you on Clomid to stimulate your eggs to become mature, thus ovulation happens and maybe a baby! Good Luck, have your doctor do a progesterone test after you finally have a period. Also tell you doctor you want a blood test, if he puts up too much of a fuss you may need another doctor who has a better bedside manner. Good Luck!

I had the same problem. (I was always like that.) I didn't ovulate on a regular basis. I would get maybe one period a year. (Meaning I would only ovulate maybe once a year.) There are things they can do to help you if this continues. Your doctor can start you on a medication like clomid. If you want to conceive, then talk to your doctor about getting started on a treatment.

It might be a cyst on your ovalry. I have them every so often and they prevent me from having regular periods... i have my period about 1 every three months.I also thought i was pregnant but I have the doctor do an ultrasound and they found cysts. they can remove the cyst without having major surgery. You should ask your doctor to do an ultrasound because if you are pregnant they will find out and if you aren't they will find out what it is.

Have they done any blood work on you? It could be stress. I would have a cervical exam and a pap done. 3 months is a long time to go and not have a period.

find a Dr that will do a blood test, if that's neg then your not pregnant, some people can't get a positive on a urine test. Good Luck!!!!!
