The yoyo is on the string. A string without the yoyo is still a string, but a yoyo without the string is ....(a disk with a groove in it?)

it's not a question of the yoyo being on the string or vice versa, it's more likely to be the string attached to the yoyo. YO! :)

technicoally the string is on the yoyo, it's wrapped around the yoyo, so I think the string is on the yoyo.


It could be argued either way tho, the yoyo is held by the string or soemthing, idk, I think it's the string is on the yoyo

Both together...one without the other would not constitute a yo-yo.
