I'm guessing your dragon is mostly brown? This is the color they turn when they're stressed. This may be because it hasn't gotton used to its new home yet, or there's something about its new environment that isn't quite right. Usually the two things that would affect them that quickly are temperature and humidity. They need a warm environment (90+basking area, mid 80s rest of the tank during the day) and high humidity (80%).

The temperature is easy enough to get with a good heating source (lamp or ceramic heat emitter - don't use heat rocks, they will burn your animal and can cause electric shock!). High humidity is harder to maintain. I mist heavily at least four times a day and keep plenty of wood for climbing, so i spray the wood till it soaks up the water. A good moisture-absorbing substrate is good too. If you don't keep the temperature & humidity up, water dragons are prone to respiratory problems.

You'll also want to get a UVB lamp for your dragon, if you don't already have one.

Age sounds about right for the size. See links for more care info:

Good luck with your dragon! I love their personalities.
