My mistake, I didn't see the word born. In the mid-1960s, women started to attend college in droves. Before that, for exampple In 1949, only upper class women attended college, usually at one of the Seven Sister Schools, Vassar College, Smith College, Radcliffe, Barnard, Wellesley College, Bryn Mawr College, and Mount Holyoke College. These colleges in 1949 were only for women who were from rich families, and I mean very rich.
