Europa (Greek Ευρώπη) was a Phoenician woman in Greek mythology, from whom the name of the continent Europe has ultimately been taken.

Dido the founder and first Queen of Carthage (in modern-day Tunisia). The Carthaginians originally Phoenician.
She is best known from the account given by the Roman poet Virgil in his Aeneid. The story of Dido and Aeneas remained popular throughout the post-Renaissance era, and was the basis for the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell and the drama Dido, Queen of Carthage by Christopher Marlowe.

Since Dido was the legendary founder of Carthage, a Phoenician colony, I'd guess she was originally Phoenician.
