I'm hoping to emigrate soon but cant seem to find any information on how much things cost compared to UK. For example, food, utilities ( gas, electric, phone bills etc). Any help would be great thanks.

A reasonable indicator of the price of a range of goods and services would be CPI - consumer price index.
Here is a link to an OECD table which gives world-wide comparative index figures.
Simply take the numbers for Canada and UK and work out the percentage difference. That will give you an overall figure.
